アメリカのフィッシングショーにあたるICAST2020が先日開催されていた。
ゼブコからは新しい33プラチナがリリースされるとの事。33プラチナと言えば2020年現在では最もバランスが取れた実用的なスピンキャストだと思うので、それが進化するなら嬉しい。

これだけ見ると従来の33プラチナのフロントカップが現行の33や33ゴールドと同じになってちょっとハンドルとクラッチボタンのデザインが変わっただけか・・・と思って少しがっかり。
しかし、その後Amazon.comにもう少し詳しい情報が出ていた。

外側だけ変わって中身はそのままなのかと思いきや、ギア比が4.1:1から4.7:1に上がっているではないか。
4.1:1の現行33プラチナはハンドル1回転あたりの巻取り量がカタログスペックで56cmだが、4.7:1になると約64cmとなる。
更にゼブコのカタログ値はやや少な目に表記されているので、他メーカーのようにスプール最大径から巻取り量を計算した場合は70cm程度になると思われる。これはスピンキャストの中ではかなり高速な部類。
もしサイズ感や重量がそのままなのだとしたらかなり使い勝手が向上しそう。
それでいて価格もAmazon.comでは＄39.99とお手頃価格をキープしているので、コスパでも最強クラス間違いなしだと思う。
リリースが2021/1との事なので買えるのはもう少し先になるが、発売が楽しみなアイテムである。
